Rite of Reconciliation
Individually, on Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. in the parish church.
In the parish office or the home of the sick or homebound, anytime by appointment with the parish priest.
Communal Penance Services are held in Advent and Lent.
In its celebration of the Sacrament of Penance, the Church shows itself to be the sacrament of God’s mercy in the world. Faithful to the gift of the Spirit given by the Risen Lord for the forgiveness of sins (John 20:19-23) the Church offers to the baptized the forgiveness of sins committed after baptism so that they may be united to the Eucharistic community once again. This sacrament celebrates the ongoing process of conversion, repentance, and reconciliation which is the Christian way of life in union with Christ who is our Reconciliation and our Peace. All the members of the Church are encouraged to celebrate the Rite of Reconciliation as often as once each month and no less than once each year.
